Who—or What—is the Patent Maestro®?
Medical Patents Broker Inc. (MPB) is pleased to announce that as of January 26, 2026, MPB is the official owner of U.S. Registration No. 8,120,281 for the service mark Patent Maestro®.
This registration, filed under International Class 36, specifically covers professional brokerage services—namely, the brokering of sales and licenses of patents. In a field as complex as Intellectual Property, clarity is paramount. I would like to address a few common questions regarding this mark and MPB role.
1. The Mark is the System, Not the Person
First and foremost: I am not the Patent Maestro®. As those who have visited our portals know, the Maestro is a copyrighted artwork, and the Maestro has a bit more hair and a far better command of the baton than I do.
